For Black and Latino students, preparation for college entails much more than performance on standardized tests and the acquisition of content knowledge. Yet, state accountability systems neither largely reflect or reward alternative approaches–leading to a knowledge vacuum of successful policies, practices and research.

In this session, we will engage in a roundtable discussion with students, researchers, and district leaders committed to race-conscious approach to college and career readiness. We will discuss several policies, practices, and approaches local and state actors can use to support students of color better as they prepare for college and career post-secondary opportunities.
