Andrew Whiting
Assistant Director of Human Resources
Andrew supports Ed Trust Operations to recruit, hire, engage, develop, and reward amazing talent. He is passionate about leadership and talent development as well as organizational effectiveness.
Prior to joining The Education Trust, Andrew worked at Fannie Mae, where he advised clients on leadership, management, and talent practices as well as strategy and process improvement. Before Fannie Mae, Andrew worked at DC Public Schools for nearly a decade in a variety of policy, operations, and human capital roles, where he focused on efficiency and effectiveness.
A native of Albany, NY, Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in Geography, and has always been passionate about education, equity, and child wellness.

What drew you to education?
I grew up working with youngsters – I’ve always enjoyed working with kids. When I was 10, I joined a reading program that matched kindergarteners to fifth graders, and I taught swimming lessons throughout my teenage years (about 1,500 students over the course of five years)!
