Gwendolyn Chappell
Senior Human Resources Generalist
Gwendolyn is the primary benefits coordinator, serving as the point person for all benefits-related concerns to staff and vendors. She also assists with recruitment and the coordination of the year-round internship program. In addition, Gwendolyn works directly with our satellite offices in California, Michigan and New York on HR matters to ensure alignment with organization’s procedures and policies.
Prior to Ed Trust, Gwendolyn worked at Job Corps in Woodstock, Maryland, as the human resources coordinator. She also held executive assistant positions to the Vice President of Development and Chief Operating Officer at Howard University and the United Negro College Fund. A native of Sanford, Florida, but reared in Syracuse, New York, Gwendolyn studied at Strayer University and Wilma Boyd Career Travel School.

I used to work with the Syracuse Police Department as a Special Police Officer
What drew you to education?
My son was given an amazing high school education that was totally out of my budget, so working at Ed Trust gives me an opportunity to help those who are less fortunate, but still deserve an equal education opportunity.
