Romarilyn Ralston

Romarilyn Ralston identifies as a Black feminist abolitionist with incarceration experience. She earned a Bachelor degree in Gender and Feminist Studies from Pitzer College and a Master degree in Liberal Arts from Washington University in St. Louis after 23 years of incarceration. She was the program director of Project Rebound at California State Fullerton and chaired the CSU Project Rebound Consortium Policy & Advocacy Committee. She is a long-time organizer with the California Coalition for Women Prisoners and serves on the leadership committee. Romarilyn sits on several national boards, including the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison, and Freedom Reads. In 2022 she received a full pardon from Governor Gavin Newsom.
