Dr. Zaria Davis
Dr. Zaria Davis is a spiritual care provider, mentor, educator, and advocate. She is passionate about restoration and healing for individuals impacted by oppressive systems, especially within the criminal legal system and in advocacy spaces. Currently, Dr. Davis provides coaching, consulting, presentations, facilitation, and public speaking engagements throughout the country through New Direction Coaching & Consulting, LLC. She is focused on introducing restorative practices to both individuals and nonprofits through leading discussions and trainings on trauma associated with incarceration. She also advocates for increased access to higher education and pretrial justice.
Zaria holds a DSW from Capella University, an MSW from the University of Cincinnati, an MDiv from Eden Theological Seminary, a bachelor’s in sociology from Wilberforce University, and is ordained through the United Church of Christ. Dr. Davis is trained in mental health first aid and is a certified reiki practitioner, restorative justice practitioner, and healing circles facilitator focusing on trauma and harm.
